Iran is going for nukes

I should re-title this to: uh oh. Or the sheeite is about to hit the fan. Or something similarly amusing. Except. This is very serious. This Sept 21 CBS News is getting play on Google/Iran news today. Hmmmmmm.Any way CBS of all people has the story. The news is not good. Iran has about 30 days to get their nukes operational. I'm betting that win or lose the election Bush is doing Iran by mid-November. At the latest. Take it with a grain of salt. I'm good at predicting events. Bad at timing.

(CBS/AP) Defying a key demand set by 35 nations, Iran announced Tuesday that it has started converting raw uranium into the gas needed for enrichment, a process that can be used to make nuclear weapons.

"Tests are going on successfully" to make uranium hexafluoride gas, said Iranian Vice President Reza Aghazadeh.

Of the more than 40 tons of raw uranium being mined for conversion, "some ... has been used," he told reporters.
Yahoo has this to say about Iran and nukes
VIENNA (Reuters) - Iran began processing uranium just more than a week ago to prepare it for enrichment -- a process that can be used to make nuclear weapons -- in defiance of the United Nations (news - web sites)' nuclear watchdog, a diplomat said Wednesday.

Iran's president said separately that Tehran would not give in to foreign pressure aimed at stopping what he said was a peaceful nuclear energy program, but which Washington says is a covert scheme aimed at building bombs.

A diplomat close to the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) told Reuters the uranium processing was "under the watchful eye" of the IAEA.
Yeah thats the ticket. Keep an eye on them Iranians. I'm feeling better already. The UN is on the case.

Bullshit         Call in the fookin Israelis. They have experience in this sort of thing.
