4/20 2024

Since I have been writing so much about Drugs lately, I thought a 4/20 recap of some of my most interesing posts might be in order. At the top of the list is:
Better Proof - The Government Is Lying About DRUGS. A short discussion of the biology of the endorphin system in layman's terms.

Alcohol consumption releases endorphins. All drugs of 'abuse' including cannabis release dopamine.

Donald Trump is a Christian of the Highest Order. He says, "Legalize".

My theory of Civilization. Also, I come out as a former abused child.

Social Problems Caused by Child Abuse

Child Abuse Created Socialism and Modern Feminism

Why Politics Attracts the Mentally Ill

The Role of PTSD in History

October 7th - We are fighting a mental illness

Apparently the Libertarians would like to end some drug laws.
I decided to join the Libertarians and was nominated
as a candidate for U.S. Senator.
Here is the email from the Vermont Secretary of State Elections Division:

Dear Cris:

I wanted to follow up on our conversation today and review the answers to your questions:

Question 1: I want to clarify if am in fact a candidate for US Senate for the Libertarian Party.

Answer: In the process of Yes. The party voted to nominate you and is in the process of submitting your nomination. So long as the "statement of nomination" and "consent of candidate" forms are timely submitted to this office and in compliance with Vermont Law 17 V.S.A. §§ 2381-2387, then you would be the Libertarian US Senate Candidate.

Question 2: I do not have to go out and collect ballot access petition signatures.

Answer 2: That would be true once your candidacy is officially validated according to Answer 1 above. A nominated candidate of a minor party in Vermont does not have to submit petition signatures to be on the ballot.

I spoke with the secretary of the Vermont Libertarian Party. She confirmed you are the party's nomination for the U.S. Senate race. Libertarians are a recognized minor party in Vermont. They are nominating you under 17 V.S.A. § 2381 (A) (2). They are preparing the paperwork to submit to this office. You may want to coordinate with your party for guidance, support, and updates as well.

The Secretary of State's website has guidance here General Election Candidates (vermont.gov).

Timing:

Minor party candidates are nominated by party committee in order to be placed on the ballot in the General Election (November 5, 2024). The statements of nomination and consent of candidate forms must be filed by the designated political party committee no sooner than Monday, April 22, 2024, and no later than 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 8, 2024. All statements of nomination and consent of candidate forms are filed with the Secretary of State.

I will call you and at least leave a message when the Libertarian party successfully submits your nomination for US Senate candidate.

Sincerely,

Mark P Houle, Esq.
