The Sleeping Giant Awakend

The sleeping giant quote is supposedly from Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto after the Pearl Harbor attack.
Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto is portrayed in the 1970 film Tora! Tora! Tora! as saying after his attack on Pearl Harbor, "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."
But no one can fond a reference to it. However, he did say:
The other common Yamamoto quotation predicting the future outcome of a naval war against the United States; "I can run wild for six months … after that, I have no expectation of success" is real, and is something he is recorded to have said to a number of different Cabinet members in Japan in 1940. As it happened, the Battle of Midway, the critical naval battle considered to be the turning point of the war, indeed did occur six months after Pearl Harbor (Midway ended on June 7th, exactly 6 months later).
So let me see. I think Obama's six months are over.

Three Years 5 months 0 weeks and 6 days to go.

He ought to take the advice of German General von Rundstedt: "Make peace, you fools"
