My Fourth

Very enjoyable. We cooked out. Lots of meat for the traditionalists and grilled potato slices and mushrooms for the vegetarians in the family. Plus all the usual trimmings of course. (lots of good sweet corn from the area)

And after the barbecue - fireworks. We watched those from a hill facing the Rock River.

I hope the smell from all the burning grass didn't overwhelm the steaks too much.

I was at the Winnebago fireworks. Pretty darn good for a small town! My daughter was unimpressed though. She has seen how the Japanese do fireworks, ten thousand blasts in one hour.
