Three Times As Addictive

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer says marijuana is more addictive than ever.

Dyer says marijuana is more addictive than ever because the THC content is more than three times what it was several decades ago.
OK. It is possible. But does it stand to reason? Is whiskey with 50% alcohol content more than 15 times as addictive as beer with 3.2% alcohol content? If so something need to be done. Like watering down the whiskey. If your bartender does that it is considered a crime (although rather minor). If the government mandates it then it will be totally good. Besides. Think of the profit opportunities for the liquor industries.

Overall, Dyer seems to be a good chief. But, he's not above pandering to his power base, as witness this position. Trapping of bar and restaurant patrons awhile back with inside surveillance and cell phone contacts to waiting patrol cars is another tactic he used. Got so bad I heard out-of-town car dealers pitching (one dealer to be honest) their cars with an invitation to stay out of Fresno for a night on the town. Like people are going to go to a town that rolls up the sidewalks at dark.
