German Bund Is Falling

Instapundit links to this story about the rising fortunes of the US dollar.

The yield advantage of two-year German bunds over comparable-maturity Treasuries has decreased to 1.40 percentage points from 1.85 percentage points on March 31, making dollar- denominated assets more attractive to investors.
Yeah. I know. It is a typo. I still couldn't resist.

I don't think that's a typo: the long-dated (i.e. 10 year) German bond is called the bund.

Interesting. Unusual to find it in English though.

It is more reminiscent og the Germam American Bund described as:

The German American Bund or German American Federation was an American Nazi, antisemitic, and racist organization established in the 1930s. Its main goal was to promote a favorable view of the Nazi Germany.
