Left wing collectivism is state socialism (the light hand) or the collective (the heavy hand).
The right wing collective is monarchy or theocracy.

How about Republicanism?
I was under the impression that Republicanism was concerned more with individual liberty.
There are two kinds of statism:
One that is supposed to be good for your wallet and the other which is supposed to be good for your soul.
Liberty is opposed to statism.
And of course statism's fundamental property is "we know how to run your life better than you do". It may be true. But it stunts learning.
The Founders regarded Monarchy and Democracy as opposite extremes. Both Horrible.
No, the right-wing collective is the Constitution. You misleadingly equate the right wing in America with quite different political movements of the past, whereas today there are no monarchists and no theocrats (no non-Muslim ones, that is). The prototype right-wing villain, Naziism, was a 100% socialist movement that the lefties have so lyingly labeled right-wing.
Sorry, but Franco and Mussolini were in no way right-wing. As for Pinochet, he used left-wing tactics against lefties, an unpardonable sin against the KultureSmog.
Let's remember than leftist insanity has many opponents besides American Constitutionalists. After all, lefties threaten everyone, not just America, so they love to lump all those they so rabidly hate under one big label of 'right wing'.
It is true America doesn't have monarchists. But the theocratic impulse is strong. Out of that came alcohol prohibition and currently drug prohibition.
And IMO the Constitution is not a collectivist document. It is a charter of individual liberties and limited government.
