Dare to be Great

Actually it is from D.A.R.E. to G.R.E.A.T.

Yes it is Drug War time again.

Where we teach our kids in every school in the nation how bad drugs are and then remind them that for some odd reason millions are willing to risk jail to use them. So the kid starts thinking after a few years - how bad could drugs be if millions are willing to risk jail for them? Let's find out. Ooops.

So in Parkersburg, WV they are on to something new. D.A.R.E. is out G.R.E.A.T. is in.

G.R.E.A.T. stands for Gang Resistance Education and Training. Well that is great. They no longer have a drug problem it has escalated into a gang problem. Good going guys.

I wonder if they teach Alcohol Prohibition in history class?

The Drug War will continue to be lost as long as popular culture continues to advertise the notion that drugs aren't bad. The Law will always be subservient to culture, something few of any persuasion understand.

Funny thing is FH more people die every year of aspirin over doses vs. pot overdoses. Something like 500 or 1,000 to 0. That is correct pot kills aproximately zero people a year.

How bad could it be?

You know that popular culture may be on to something.

Well any way if police are advertising drugs to kids perhaps there is good reason drug use is so prevalent.

BTW FH is D.A.R.E. part of popular culture or unpopular culture? I'm just askin.

And in any case with the internet and all how do you plan to keep information out of the hands of kids?

The ignorance is bliss school of drug control strikes again.
