The Republican Majority (as well as I remember the name) Committee called me today for a donation.
I said I blog and only donate to candidates. I got a polite thank you and the solicitor hung up.
The internet has disintermediated politics. I wonder how much longer parties can last?
In a winner-takes-all ballot, the stable state is still two parties. It's possible we could experience a temporary "golden age" of nonpartisan politics driven by individual politicians. But the two-party solution will eventually re-assert itself.
ReplyDeleteI told them the same thing. I won't (intentionally) give the RNC another dollar, probably ever.
